It’s funny looking back at how these projects have unfolded.
A journal became a book.
Writer’s block became a blog.
Ideation became an app.
The app helped me finish the book.
The process sparked an idea for a game, born from a mix of social anxiety in crowded spaces, an interest in live performance, and ambitions in music and comedy.
The game started influencing the direction of the book itself, opening a path toward a comic book adaptation.
The game and comic book then inspired stand-up comedy sketches.
And somehow, all of it brought me back to where many of these ideas started.
As a child, I often felt like I was being pushed through systems designed to make everyone fit the same mould. A square peg being forced into a round hole. Years later, through writing, building, experimenting, and creating, I’ve found myself returning to the same questions—but with a very different perspective.
What fascinates me now is how ideas move between mediums.
A thought becomes a journal entry.
A journal entry becomes a chapter.
A chapter becomes a blog post.
A blog post becomes an app.
An app becomes a game.
A game becomes a comic.
A comic becomes a comedy sketch.
The format changes, but the underlying idea remains the same.
None of this was planned.
There was no grand strategy connecting the dots in advance. Each project simply solved a problem created by the previous one. Each opened a door to something unexpected. Looking back, what appears connected today was often just the result of following curiosity and seeing where it led.
It’s a reminder that progress doesn’t always come from having the perfect roadmap. Sometimes it comes from taking a leap of faith, starting before you’re ready, and getting the ball rolling.
Phew.
It’s Friday after two days of research and development. Time to put the projects down for a bit, spend time with friends and family, get some rest, and recharge for another week of chasing ideas.
